You may wonder as you read the reviews if OHW can really be this good. Rest assured, they are. Will Rash, owner, is a professional woodsman and businessman who has acquired and trained a highly-skilled crew. I had 14 wind-damaged large 100' oak and hickory trees to be removed. I got four estimates and his was most reasonable and $2000 below two of them. I was concerned about the very wet ground and about my recently repaved driveway. Will listened and planned accordingly. His workers were excellent and careful, putting down plywood to protect the grass and routing haul pathways carefully. They minimized damage and where there was some they patched and re-seeded. They were done in less than a day (I expected two) and they left the job site in fine shape with all debris removed. I highly recommend Oak Hill Wood Service.

I called only a few days ago and within a day, I got a very low priced estimate compared to other companies I called (most other estimates were almost double for the same work!) I went with Oak Hill Wood Services to trim a couple huge limbs from a white oak that were hanging over my house, and a couple lower minor limbs on a different tree, and they were in and out in two hours. Will be recommending them to anyone and everyone who needs tree work done

These guys do serious precision tree removal. It was a pleasure watching them work. They took out two huge dead Red Oaks along our fence line with less than a foot of clearance. Every branch and leaf was removed when they were finished and they used boards to protect the yard. Price was fair and work was done fast.

The crew accommodated my schedule, arrived on time, completed the job with amazing speed and cleaned up afterwards leaving me with nothing to do myself which is what I was hoping for. In addition, I found their quote to be very fair and was far less than others I had received. I FINALLY hired a competent and honest contractor.

Wow. I got an estimate that was reasonable. Got way more than I expected. Removed 8 dead trees 6 live one's including a 50 pine. Cleaned approximately 200 feet of fence of all vines and renegade trees. Cleared my shed of large pine tree branches laying on it. Cleaned my gutters. Trimmed all trees remaining so I can walk and mow under. Much more. I have an acre and a third . This was a bargain. 5400 bucks. Everyone else was over 7000 and couldn't say when they would show up.

Wow! I'd give OHW 6 stars if Google would let me. Will Rash's guys were amazing. John (my guess is he was the crew chief) and his guys worked from the moment they got to our house until they left. 8 dead oaks -- some with diseased, hollow centers. All 80-120' high. Lots of other trees and bushes. A shed. A swing/play set. They worked around it all like skilled surgeons and like our house was their house. Yard was cleaner when they left than it was when they got here. I'd tell you the guys in the trees moved like cats (they did), but that would detract from how hard the guys on the ground worked. Really can't say enough good things about them except that the price was extremely competitive and my wife was grinning as she walked around marveling about the work they did when they left! Guess THAT'S all I needed to say in the first place, right? Thanks so much Will, John, and the rest of your team. Awesome job 🙂

There are a lot of tree services that advertise in my area, so as a new home owner I didn't know where to start. My neighbor recommended Oak Hill, they had a great experience hiring them after a disaster. Thankfully, our work has only been dead tree removal, but we are so happy with the fair prices, speed, cleanliness, and professionalism of Oak Hill. They have been very sensitive to take down only trees that are dead, diseased, or otherwise dangerous and leave the healthy trees near our home, which we very much appreciate. I have used Will and OHW several times over the years. They are absolutely the best! Recently I had a tree that was split and about to fall onto my driveway. Will provided a prompt estimate and when I notified him the next morning that the tree had fallen overnight, he and his crew came right away that morning to remove the tree and clean up all the debris. I was told by Will Rush (owner) to be ready because he was bringing a fleet of equipment and he wasn’t kidding. They showed up with 9 or 10 trucks, 3 chippers and a crane right when he said they would be here. His guys did a GREAT job and didn’t stop all day. They completely removed 22 or so trees and cleaned up the mess way faster that I expected. All the guys were extremely polite and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Mr. Rush has built and is running a top notch company and I will not hesitate to hire them again or highly recommend them to anyone I know needing tree work. We got a ton of trees pruned and thinned, a couple trees removed and tons of brush piles removed. Got rid of this huge dead tree limb that was dangling over our driveway. This company is absolutely fantastic! Will was kind, honest, and professional and took the time to listen to what we needed, all the time taking notes and building a quote while walking around my 5 acre property. This was followed by a team of tree professionals arriving in the next few days to remove large trees, thin out trees and cut/leave the logs for us to use as firewood. They were so courteous. I had my granddaughter that day, and as we were walking up the drive (we had to park down the driveway) one of the crew saw us and escorted us the rest of the way up, motioning to the other guys to hold the cutting. I had a storm-damaged maple that was split and threatening to fall onto a highly traveled public road. I called three companies late sunday afternoon and was contacted by Will at 5am. With speedy service and a professional crew, my tree was removed by 9am. Will inspected another tree and found splitting that I didn't see, which would easily become the same problem for the roadway danger. I gave Oak Hill the impossible job of removing a dying enormous hickory while preserving several smaller trees, one was another younger hickory which was wrapped around it. The crew with the crane and an amazing crew preserved all the surrounding trees in that grove which provides shade to the house.

Oak Hill Tree was very responsive in coming to our house after a large limb came off our oak tree and damaged our deck. They were able to give us a service date within 3 days. The crew showed up on time and took care in taking down the dead tree and grinding the stump. They even put down wood boards on our side lawn so that their equipment tires wouldn’t damage our side lawn. The job was finished in good time and their cleanup was excellent.
